David Coulthard believes there is still a lot more to be done on the Red Bull RB3 before the car reaches his expectations. However, the Scottish veteran feels there is still time to put things right.
"The package is not yet optimized so we've got a lot of work to do to get the performance we want," he told f1.com.
"There are some upgrades for the Bahrain test and some things we should have prior to Australia, which should help."
2007 will mark the 35-year-old's fourteenth season in Formula One and Coulthard knows that it is always difficult to predict who will be where at the start of the season.
"Everyone still has more time to develop ahead of the start of the season, so it's hard to know how it will unfold until we start racing in Australia in a few weeks' time.
"At the moment we're not going to achieve the goals I had for the year, but we've got some more time to develop and hopefully, once we've done that, we can try and achieve them," he added.
