Di Montezemolo was one of the first to call Jean Todt to congratulate him with the team's win and to congratulate his new driver Kimi Raikkonen. "Luca di Montezemolo called right after the race and was jumping for joy as if this was our first win in a decade," said Ferrari team boss Jean Todt after the race.
Di Montezemolo told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport: "It is impossible for me to find the right words to express my feelings. This is the first victory after Schumacher left our team. A big man has left our team but everything remained the same in our team."
Di Montezemolo was also happy with Felipe Massa's performance. Massa had to start the race from the last spot on the grid but managed to finish in sixth position and bring home three points for the team. "Did you see how well Massa raced? He was just a boy when we first had him in our car but now he is a mature driver."
