Anthony Davidson was taken to a Melbourne hospital after the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday for precautionary checks. The Super Aguri driver complained of major back pains. The Japanese team said today that Davidson was doing fine now and will most likely attend the F1 test in Sepang (Malaysia) next week.
In the hospital it became clear that Davidson sustained only a minor upper torso muscular injury. This weekend the Briton will undergo a final fitness test before flying to Malaysia.
Davidson finished the race in sixteenth, but was left feeling the after effects. The Super Aguri driver had a difficult race, including early contact with Spyker's Adrian Sutil.
