Wurz: I've been extremely lucky

Williams F1 driver Alex Wurz only realised how lucky he was until he saw his crash with David Coulthard on television. Coulthard tried to overtake the Austrian with a kamikaze move on the inside. Coulthard's rear tyre nearly hit Wurz' head.

Looking back at his crash with Coulthard Wurz commented: "That wasn't a lot of fun really. I saw David (Coulthard) coming in my mirrors but I didn't expect him to try such a move on me. Not for someone with as much experience in racing like him. He was only about 20 centimetres away. I saw our crash on television after the race. A car weighs about 600 kilos and with such a speed you don't want to think about what could have happened there if he would have hit my head. I've been extremely lucky there."
