British Minister of Sport Richard Caborn has backed the plan from Silverstone chiefs to upgrade the track and secure the future of the British Grand Prix. The British sports' minister attended a presentation made by the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC), to local councils and regional development agencies.
The BRDC plans to build new grandstands, a new pit and paddock complex. Speaking about Silverstone's plans Caborn told the BBC: "The master plan really builds on the Silverstone brand and shows a great deal of potential."
