Sepang day 3: Hamilton fastest in the wet
29 March 2007 / Results / PhotosMcLaren driver Lewis Hamilton was the fastest man at Sepang's International Circuit on Thursday. Under changeable weather conditions the teams continued testing at the Malaysian track, albeit their running time was restricted. The 22-year-old still managed to complete 57 laps with a best lap of 1:35.918s.
Red Bull Racing was quick again with Mark Webber second fastest just two tenths adrift of the young Brit's time. Ralf Schumacher also continued to show Toyota's improved performance and was third quickest with a 1:36.700s whilst Toro Rosso's Vitantonio Liuzzi sprung a surprise and was fourth fastest.
Felipe Massa was fifth, having taken over testing duties for Ferrari from Kimi Raikkonen. Nico Rosberg was sixth fastest, having replaced Alexander Wurz in the Williams car, ahead of Jenson Button, who completed the most laps, 92, to make up for lost time when Honda's engine blew up yesterday.
