'Singapore Grand Prix to be announced on Friday'

According to local newspapers in Singapore the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix will be announced this Friday by the organisers of the race. It is expected they will organise a Formula One street race as early as next year.

Most reports are based a on a report from local newspaper Straits Times. The newspaper reported earlier this week that Mark Webber will test the circuit of the proposed venue of the race in the upcoming weekend.

An anonymous source close to the Singapore organisation told the Straits Times: "There are only a few loose ends left in the deal to tie up."
