The BMW Sauber team is planning a street demo in the historic city of Malacca on the western coast of Malaysia. On Sunday BMW Sauber drivers Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica will fire up the F1.07 to do some demo runs on the Malacca trade fair site.
The team will be organising other media events in the week running up to the Malaysian Grand Prix - the home of its major partner Petronas.
The opening of the BMW Sauber F1 Team Pit Lane Park is the other major attraction. It has been set up at the far end of the park behind the PETRONAS Twin Towers. The weekend will see test driver Timo Glock take the F1.07 for a spin in the Pit Lane Park, while junior drivers will also be in action in Formula BMW cars and stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer is promising some acrobatic thrills and spills with his BMW motorcycle. Last year, the Pit Lane Park attracted more than 130,000 visitors.
