Felipe Massa is determined to dominate the Malaysian Grand Prix after scoring pole position on Saturday. The Brazilian driver suffered disappointment in Australia where he had to start from the back of the grid and watch team mate Raikkonen dominate in the same car.
"To have a pole now at the beginning of the championship is important to try and be at the front and bring home as many points as possible for the fight at the end," Massa said. "So I am looking forward to carrying on like that. In Australia, I think I could have been fighting for the pole position. Kimi did a great job there but I was able to do a good job as well. I am happy now I am here, but we need to keep working hard and keep doing our job to put both cars at the front like we did here."
"I am going to try and do the best I can," he added. "If it is like the last race, the race last year or whatever, I am going to try to do my best like always."
When asked whether he and team mate Raikkonen were free to scrap it out on track if the race ends up being between two Ferraris, Massa replied, "We are both working for the team and to put the team in the best position and best condition for the championship. For sure, we are both working in the track and you know he wants to be in front of me and I want to be in front of him, but I think we need to use our brains not to make any problems for the team. That is the most important thing."
