Paffett glad to be racing again

McLaren test driver Gary Paffett will return to the DTM series this season to race again with Merecedes. "I missed the races," the 26-year-old said about his return from McLaren back to DTM.

Gary Paffett will join the Mercedes HWA AG team in the DTM series. He explained why he returned to DTM: "Following my one-year break, I'm really looking forward to my first clash with the old and new opponents. I missed the races."

From 2003 to 2005, Gary Paffett contested 30 DTM races and won nine of them. Furthermore, he secured five pole positions and set six fastest race laps, in this period of time.

In 2008 the Briton hopes to race in Formula 1. ""Every drivers dream is to be a race driver in Formula 1 and I am no different. I will be doing my best to make that dream happen for 2008," the 25-year-old said.
