BMW motorsport boss Mario Theissen believes in Robert Kubica's potential for the future. The young Pole has been unlucky in two of the first three rounds of the season where car trouble has undone his undeniable pace.
"Robert has enormous potential," Theissen said. "We know that the 2007 season will be a learning year for him. He had bad luck in the first two rounds, therefore, it was particularly important that he scored his first points in Bahrain."
"I told Robert to take it easy," he added. "We are fully aware of his skills. He just needs some problem-free races, then things will get going automatically. Indeed, the sixth place secured in Bahrain demonstrated that Robert has what is needed to become a factor in the forthcoming rounds."
