De la Rosa impressed with Alonso
28 April 2007Pedro de la Rosa is very impressed with the way Fernando Alonso has settled into the McLaren team and already started putting in race-winning performances.

"Fernando learns anything very quickly," said de la Rosa, who continues as the team's test driver following his run of race appearances last season as Montoya's substitute. "It is incredible how quickly he has learnt everything about the team, when you consider he only had one day testing in December last year and hasn't really had a long time with McLaren, but he has already won a race."
"I think we have surprised many people," he added about the team's performance so far this year. "Fernando and Lewis have done a very good job. We are where we deserve to be, but we have to focus of making sure we maintain, well improve, our performance as a team."
