Albers: B-spec car expected for Turkey
11 May 2007Christijan Albers expects that Spyker will wait until the end of August at the Turkish Grand Prix before unleashing its new b-spec car. Having seen the Spyker cars of Albers and Adrian Sutil line up at the back of the grid so far this season, all eyes were on when the Silverstone-based squad would unveil its second edition of this year's car, especially with star technical chief Mike Gascoyne expected to be more settled. Its maiden race was thought to be around the end of July at the German Grand Prix but Albers has now said the team wants to take more time over its development.
"We can rush it, but that won't make the car any faster," the Dutchman told GPUpdate.net.
"We're working very hard in the windtunnel, but when your're finished with that, you still have to actually build the car. That's going to take a couple of weeks and every extra day you spend working on the car, will make it faster. I think we'll see the new car in Turkey"
