Alonso confident for home Grand Prix

Double world champion Fernando Alonso believes he can still win Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix. The McLaren driver qualified himself on front row, next to pole position man Felipe Massa.

After the qualifying session Fernando Alonso said: "It's been a good weekend for us and the car performs very well. We are confident for tomorrow and we expect a very good race and a battle for the victory. As we expected qualifying was very close today. The gap between Ferrari and McLaren is very close so we must do 100% on each lap."
