Heidfeld - wheel nut incident shouldn't happen

Nick Heidfeld was upset that his competitive Spanish Grand Prix run ended in nothing. While he eventually retired with a gearbox problem, Heidfeld's problems began in his first pit stop when the team did not fasten the nut properly to his front right wheel.

"I felt the front right wheel was loose and the lollipop gave me the signal to go," Heidfeld said. "I stopped because I felt the wheel was loose. I waited there for a while but nobody came to do anything about it so I had to go on."

Heidfeld was stood in the pit lane for over 30 seconds waiting for his team to assist but nobody came, so he rolled out of the pits and crept back round.

"It is one of those things that can happen but shouldn't," he added.
