Renault F1 President eyes third place

Renault's Formula 1 President Alain Dassas has said he wants to be Formula One's third quickest team at the grid this season. The team, who won the championship in 2005 and 2006, has yet to score their first podium finish this season.

For Alain Dassas the team objective hasn't changed after the difficult start of the season. Dassas said: "They haven't changed. We need to be fighting for podium places by the end of the season, and to try and become the third quickest team. That's the minimum required. I'm fully confident and I know we're capable of achieving that. The car is improving at every race. There's obvious progress, although it's in small steps at the moment. Now, we need to accelerate that development."
