Gascoyne: Sutil can show his talent in Monaco

15 May 2007

Spyker F1's chief technical officer Mike Gascoyne believes the team's driver Adrian Sutil can show what he is capable of in the streets of Monaco next week. Gascoyne is impressed with Sutil's pace so far and knows Sutil holds a strong record at the track in Monte Carlo.

Gascoyne said about his expectations on Sutil in Monaco: "I think he'll really be able to show what a talent he is. I think Adrian is doing a superb job and I think his pace is pretty strong. Once he stops making rookie errors, which everyone does, he'll be very good."

Gascoyne furthermore said: "Lewis Hamilton is doing an unbelievable job, while Adrian is struggling at the back, but he out qualified Lewis at Monaco in F3. It's funny how things fall for you!"

But apart from a good performance in the car the strategy of the team can also help in Monaco. "You very often get a safety car there, and that's when you really could do something unexpected if you get the strategy right. We definitely see it as an opportunity," said Gascoyne.
