Hamilton stays top at Paul Ricard
16 May 2007 / Results / PhotosLewis Hamilton stayed top of the time sheets after the second day of testing this week at Paul Ricard. The teams ran again on the Monaco-style configuration of the high-tech test track and while Hamilton was still top, Ferrari's Massa had closed to within 0.2s. BMW's Robert Kubica was third.
Conditions were not quite as windy as they were on Tuesday and almost all drivers completed over 100 laps.
Coulthard was an encouraging fourth fastest in the Red Bull just ahead of Sato, Kovalainen and Barrichello running here for the first time in fifteen years. Further down the field Sebastien Bourdais was back in an F1 car. The three-time champ car champion was tenth in the Toro Rosso.
Testing continues tomorrow.
