Jenson Button has reiterated that he is not happy with the way things are at Honda yet he has every bit of confidence that the team can turn its fortune around. The Brit revealed that the problems are aero-related and that they are being solved step by step at each Grand Prix.
"We are definitely not satisfied with our performance so far this season. I don't think anyone would be satisfied with the position that we are in," Button told f1.com at the Monaco Grand Prix.
"It is a series of small problems rather than one major issue, but aero is the main factor. The aerodynamics of the car are not working as we would have hoped but the team are putting every effort into resolving this.
"The car has developed and improved over the last few races, the stability of the rear particularly has helped us in the race, but there is a long way to go yet. We are not anticipating a big step forward this weekend."
Button thinks that the team will only see a major improvement after the F1 calendar returns to Europe for the French Grand Prix for the 1 July.
"There are small changes coming onto the car all the time so I anticipate a small step forward again for Canada and the US. The bigger improvements, however, will not come until we get back to Europe. Honda is a huge company and I have full confidence in our ability and resources to turn the situation around."
