Speed happy with step forward
29 May 2007Scott Speed drove a stunning race in Monaco. The American Toro Rosso driver began the Monaco Grand Prix from eighteenth and moved up to finish the race in ninth. Although missing out on his first point in Formula 1 he was happy to see the team has made a step forward.
Looking back at Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix Scott Speed said: "What was really annoying is that in this race, usually lots of cars retire and that just didn't happen this time. In a way it was a bad year to have a great race here, because I really really wanted to get in the points. But the important thing is that we have made a good step forward and I did not expect to be this competitive in this race."
This week Speed will travel back to the US for a few days relaxing and then travel to Montreal in two weeks where the Canadian Grand Prix will takes place. "I'll be heading home to California for a few days seeing all my folks before the Canadian Grand Prix," he said.
