Heidfeld confident starting from third

Nick Heidfeld caused some upset in the pit lane after he qualified third, behind the two McLarens but ahead of both Ferraris. The BMW Sauber driver was happy with the result after having endured a tough morning practice session.

"I'm very satisfied with that having lost a lot of time in final practice when I only did one timed lap, so it was a bit difficult to get used to the track in qualifying," Heidfeld said. "We could only hope that we'd be strong here again as we've been in previous years - strong on high-speed circuits. Indy's probably similar in that regard so I'm looking forward to that and Monza too."
