Albers splits with management
15 June 2007Christijan Albers' management today announced that it will split with the Spyker F1 driver. According to Christijan's management they had different views on certain things and it would be better for the both of them to go their own way.
Albers' manager Lodewijk Varossieau told GPUpdate.net: "We are very proud of what we have achieved with Christijan Albers. For the past 6,5 years we have guided him in his racing career with a lot of pleasure, but we have had to end our partnership. We believe we have achieved the maximum out of our partnership and we hope a new management can take Christijan up another level. Christijan is big racing talent and we are convinced he is one of the big racing talents out there.
"Hopefully Christijan will score the first points for Spyker later this season. We wish Christijan all the best in his racing career."
Albers told GPUpdate.net that he hopes to put the break behind him and concentrate on this weekend's Grand Prix: "Unfortunately I had to split up with my management because we had different views on certain things. I don't want to say about it more than I need to, all that matters is to focuss on this weekends US Grand Prix and do the best I can for the team here."
