Takuma Sato has been given a grid penalty after passing under a yellow flag during the American Grand Prix. The Super Aguri driver will now have to drop ten places on the grid for the next race in Magny Cours on 1 July.
The Japanese driver came under investigation for the incident on lap 14 of the race but immediately spun out meaning that no penalty could be imposed. Later on in the race the FIA decided that the punishment will be carried on into the next race and therefore a grid-penalty will be applied.
