Theissen expects Kubica to race in France

In Sunday's US Grand Prix BMW Sauber F1 driver 19-year-old BMW test driver Sebastian Vettel replaced Robert Kubica. Vettel did well and even scored his first point in the F1 championship. BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen expects to see Kubica return at the French Grand Prix on 1 July 2007.

Theissen explained: "Robert will have another check-up in Magny-Cours. Without wanting to preempt the doctors, I'm expecting it to be positive. As soon as we get the all clear from the doctors, Robert will be straight back in the driving seat."

But to make sure Kubica is fully ready for his appearance in France he will have to sit out BMW's test session at Silverstone this week. "Robert won't be taking part in this week's test drives in Silverstone," said Theissen.
