Bourdais says time running out on F1 chance

27 June 2007

Sebastien Bourdais says time is running out for his chances of getting a competitive F1 drive. Despite several F1 tests and winning three straight Champ Car World Series titles and 26 victories in five years, the 28-year old still hasn't had an F1 race drive offer.

"If it's going to happen, it has to get going pretty soon," Bourdais said. "You don't get into Formula One past 30 years old, and I'm 28, so it's pretty clear it's either going to be next year, or probably never."

"To me, Champ Car is the single toughest thing to win," he added. "I wish I could just win and not be asked, 'What do you think about the value of your championship?"
