Massa blasts French GP traffic
01 July 2007 / Results / PhotosFelipe Massa blasted backmarkers for not yielding to him easier during the French Grand Prix as he saw Kimi Raikkonen steal what should have been an easy victory for the Brazilian.
"I lost the race today because of the traffic," Massa said. "On the first stint I was supposed to be more than four seconds ahead of Kimi so it worked perfectly and I came out in front of him. Then in the second stint it was supposed to be the same, but I was so disappointed with the traffic and I lost too much time - you lose a lot of downforce behind other cars and unfortunately I lost victory because of that which is a shame because when I had clear air I was doing very quick laps."
"Still I'm very happy for the team that we got our first one-two of the season and it's a great result given McLaren's position in the championship," Massa added.
