Alonso expects Hamilton to face problems too

Fernando Alonso is getting slightly worried about the gap in the championship with his team-mate Lewis Hamilton. In France the young Briton was once again faster than the double world champion and he was on the podium for the eighth time in a row, while Alonso finished in seventh.

"I will have to focus on Lewis now," Alonso told Spanish newspaper AS. "I have a lot to make up now as he has enlarged his championship lead. I truly hope I can start closing the gap in Silverstone.

"There will be a time that he has a problem, like a gearbox problem or the safety car going out at the wrong time. Hopefully I can close the gap with him with six or eight points right away next time."
