Former Formula One world champion Nigel Mansell believes Lewis Hamilton is capable of winning the championship in his first season in Formula 1. Hamilton is currently leading the championship and will enjoy his first F1 race in front of his home crowd on Sunday.
Speaking at the BMW pit lane park Mansell said: "I have no doubts. If lady luck keeps shining on Lewis and his team deliver the goods then I can't see someone beating him unless something goes wrong. He's a thoroughbred racer, he races, and that's what I like about him. He's got a cool head on his shoulders - he acts like he is 32 and not 22.
"He's doing an incredible job and doesn't know anything else than winning in racing. He's been groomed through the formulas he's driven in, and I for one am a fan."
