Bourdais: It was fun, but not very useful today

Three-time Champ Car champion Sebastien Bourdais was back in Formula 1 today for a two-day test session with the Scuderia Toro Rosso team at Spa-Francorchamps. Bourdais is one of the candidates to race for the Italian team in Formula 1 next season. The Frenchman clocked the eighth fastest time today.

Speaking about his day of testing at the Belgian track today Bourdais told GPUpdate.net: "It was wet out there! But it was good fun this morning. We got off to a quick start, although we only got three runs at a dry track. I was hoping it would stay dry today, I guess it doesn't mean anything that you are here in July, but that's the way it is. I wish we could have done a little bit more laps, but the weather was very inconsistent."

Bourdais furthermore said: "It was raining at some parts and it stayed dry at some other parts of the track. That makes it very difficult to learn anything. We got some tyre data en did some aero tests. I had a very good time, but unfortunately I didn't achieve that much."
