McLaren's suspended chief designer Mike Coughlan avoided a further showdown with Ferrari in the High Court in London after he provided the team with a requested affidavit, once Ferrari agreed it would not be used against him in the case being brought in Modena, Italy.
There was some doubt over whether Coughlan would produce the affidavit in time after his legal team sought assurances that it would not incriminate him and his wife in respect of the court proceedings in Italy.
It seems for the moment, now that Ferrari has the affidavits that there will be no immediate replay of the High Court clash.
