Hamilton doesn't expect flu to affect him

19 July 2007

Lewis Hamilton is confident he can focus for 100% in this weekend's European Grand Prix even though he has been on medication for the last few days. Hamilton's flu comes at a bad time as the Briton needs to continue to defend his championship lead this weekend at the Nurburgring.

"I don't expect it is going to be a problem really," Hamilton told reporters. "I've just caught a bit of 'flu, but it's OK. I'm really up for it. The worst of it was earlier on in the week. Trust me, I'm a lot better now than I was on Monday.

"I've got some good medicine, I'm with a good team, so I'm sure there will be no problems."
