There is speculation that Bernie Ecclestone is interested in buying Arsenal FC. Apparently he is competition with American businessman Stan Kroenke, who already who owns a 12.2% share of the premiership club.
F1's supremo, who is worth a reported £2.25 billion, has not ruled out a possible takeover.
The 76-year-old said: "If somebody offers me something I think is good value, I will have a go. I'm interested in anything if it's cheap enough."
Ecclestone revealed that he has been in close contact with Arsenal's former vice-chairman David Dein, who left the club after falling out with the board in April.
"I obviously talked to David (Dein) when they chucked him out, which I thought was a bit unnecessary, " said Eccelstone.
It is not the first time that Ecclestone has been linked with purchasing a top premiership club and was rumoured to be interested in buying Chelsea FC a few years back with F1 wheeler-dealer Flavio Briatore.
He added: "Flavio and I were interested in Chelsea not so long ago," confirmed Ecclestone. I do go to Chelsea. Flav and I went to matches. I go when I've nothing else to do. What problem would I be in with Chelsea if I bought Arsenal?"
