Kimi expects tough race

Kimi Raikkonen clinched pole position for tomorrow's race at the Nurburgring in the aftermath of Lewis Hamilton's crash. The Finn revealed that it was tough having to wait for the session to resume after it was stopped following the McLaren driver's shunt.

The Ferrari driver said: "It was difficult to wait for a long time. You just have to be patient and do the best you can. It was not the easiest of situations. But the lap was good and was easily pole. The car has been good all weekend."

He expects it to be a difficult race but hopes he can turn around his bad luck here from previous years.

Raikkonen added: "It will be a hard race - a long race. I do not have a record here, so I hope for better tomorrow."
