Ferrari boss denies hand in McLaren podium ban

Ferrari boss denies hand in McLaren podium ban

06 August 2007

Ferrari sporting director Stefano Domenicali was not too disappointed after Kimi Raikkonen finished the Hungarian Grand Prix in second and he also moved quickly to deny Ferrari was not the party which asked the FIA to clarify the situation regarding McLaren and the Hungarian podium. This resulted in McLaren being barred from accepting the constructors' trophy.

"I didn't know about it so for sure not us," Domenicali smiled when asked if Ferrari had any hand to play.

On the outcome of the race he added, "It's almost impossible to overtake here and Felipe was stuck in the middle of it all. It was very disappointing not to get the points we wanted. But we have to be positive as we now go back to tracks where we have better performance and we have to keep pushing to make up the difference."
