Ferrari can win final six races - Montezemolo

09 August 2007

Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo went to see team boss Jean Todt and the Ferrari F1 team's management on Wednesday to discuss the situation in the F1 Championship after two thirds of the season. During the meeting the season was analysed in which they discussed the team's reliability and the number of mistakes made.

Montezemolo called on everyone to give his best in sight of the last six GPs of the season and to remain 100 per cent concentrated on the development of the F2007 and the handling of the race weekends.

"We can win all the remaining races, because we have the capacity to do it," said Montezemolo at the end of the meeting. "The team has to believe in it."

On the topic of the spy scandal and Ferrari's appeal over the World Motor Sport Council's decision not to punish McLaren he added, "What has happened is of an incomparable gravity, and we will go on with great determination and profound conviction, until the end, as far as the legal proceedings in Italy and England, but also as far as the sporting proceedings with the hearing at the FIA Court of Appeal, on 13th September in Paris, are concerned. For Ferrari it is fundamental that the whole truth about this ugly story can be seen before everybody's eyes."
