Spyker's Malaysian test driver Fairuz Fauzy returned to the Formula 1 cockpit today in Santa Pod, UK, to put in a further day's testing for the Spyker team. In warm, sunny conditions, the Malaysian assisted the team with its aero development programme, the first time Fairuz had been in the F8-VII since the team's four-day test in Paul Ricard back in May.
"It was great to be back in the F1 car," commented Fairuz. "We concentrated on aero development and control systems and had a very productive day. Santa Pod is not really a complete track, but it's quite bumpy, fun and challenging to drive. We didn't have any problems and it was nice to be able to get some more mileage in a Formula One car. I'm looking forward to getting some more time later in the season."
