Williams happy with current reliability

09 August 2007

2006 was a difficult year for the Williams F1 team, but this season the Grove-based outfit has shown it has found its form and is working on its return to the top of the field. The car has been improving well during the season in terms of speed, but Williams' technical director Sam Michael has said he is also happy with the reliability of the car.

Looking back at the Hungarian Grand Prix Michael said: "It was a good race for Nico this weekend and he was finally able to convert his efforts into valuable points for the team. On the other hand, Alex worked hard but had a less successful weekend."

But more important is to see the car is very reliable at the moment. "We've made some strong steps on reliability and our focus is mainly on performance for the remaining races. Nico's best race lap was 0.6secs slower than the fastest, better but there is still work to do," Michael said.
