Former Formula 1 driver Scott Speed might be racing in the American NASCAR series next year. Speed was sacked by Scuderia Toro Rosso last month but said he was looking for a racing seat in his home country. Red Bull founder Dietric Mateschitz hopes to take Speed to NASCAR next year.
Red Bull is also running a Red Bull NASCAR team since the start of the season. Having a driver as Scott Speed racing for their NASCAR team would be something the team could really benefit from Mateschitz told German magazine Motorsport Aktuell. "He (Speed) would be a good help for us if he'd join us in NASCAR. Apart from that, his name is the dream of every marketeer to work with in the racing business."
