GP2 team owner Adrian Campos has hinted that he could make the step-up to Formula One as early as next season. The former Grand Prix driver and business partner Alejandro Agag are currently in talks with Aguri Suzuki about his shares in the Super Aguri team.
The Leafield-based team is looking for investors to purchase a minority sharehold so that the team can compensate for late payments from major sponsor SS United.
"We are looking and our project is in that direction," Campos told Autosport about his and Agag's plans. "I don't know how and I don't know when. Now we are focused on GP2, but there are other possibilities. Next year in my opinion would be too soon. But you never know."
