According to Dutch newspaper AD the Spyker Formula 1 team has signed up Roldan Rodriguez for next season. The Spaniard is currently active in the GP2 series and would join the Dutch team this winter as the team's race driver.
The newspaper reports Rodriguez would bring as much as 15 million dollar worth of sponsorship deals to the team that is currently racing with Adrian Sutil and Sakon Yamamoto. The Spyker team though denies it has already signed up a driver for next season. Colin Kolles told GPUpdate.net: "At present we have made no final decision regarding 2008 drivers. We are very happy with Adrian and Sakon at this point in time and are fully concentrated on Turkey and the remainder of the 2007 season."
Roldan Rodriguez is currently 11th in the GP2 championship standings with 14 points.
