Alonso and Hamilton meet in Istanbul

McLaren rivals Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton met up Istanbul today with team bosses to clear the air ahead of this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix. The pair fell out in dramatic fashion following the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend drama and were reportedly not on speaking terms.

Both Alonso and Hamilton did not travel to the Istanbul circuit today, as they usually would to fulfil pre-race obligations with the media and sponsors. However as neither was required at the FIA press conference, they did not make the journey, instead McLaren bosses set up a summit in downtown Istanbul. 

What impact the meeting has had, and how long the calm will last, remains to be seen. but for now, both drivers have stayed out of the media's line of fire in Turkey.
