Prodrive team boss David Richards has said he is currently negotiating with three different manufacturers to build Prodrive's F1 cars for 2008. He revealed McLaren is currently closest to sign with Prodrive.
Prodrive will enter Formula 1 in 2008 but has yet to announce the team's drivers, chassis and engine plans. Speaking with British newspaper The Times Richards said: "McLaren is one of three possible options for us, but they are closest. We will not be able to make an announcement until next month but talks are progressing very well and we will be on the Formula One grid in 2008."
