Rampf warns BMW will be strong in Turkey

23 August 2007

BMW Sauber F1 technical director Willy Rampf has warned rivals that his team will be in strong form at this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix. The team has been closing the gap to the front runners since the start of the season and according to Rampf the team has made some advances in the summer break.

"In our recent races we were very strong and have further improved the F1.07, and so I anticipate another good showing on the part of our team," said Rampf.

"The Istanbul Park offers everything you need for an interesting circuit," Rampf added. "It has slow sections that demand good traction, but there is also the notorious Turn 8, for example, which consists of four parts but is taken in one line at around 250 km/h."
