Berger reveals Ralf called Toro Rosso

Scuderia Toro Rosso co-owner Gerhard Berger revealed that Ralf Schumacher had put in a call to his team to sound out a possible F1 drive next season. However, he added that Ralf said if there was any chance of staying at Toyota he would do so.

"Ralf came to us and we spoke with him," Berger told reporters in Turkey. "But in the discussion it was clear that his priority is Toyota and our priority was the line-up we have now."

"If something had gone wrong within our priorities, there was opportunity to discuss further, that's all that happened," he added. "We had no other discussions in any more detail."

Ralf's contract at Toyota is up at the end of the season.
