Ferrari won't name first driver

Ferrari won't name first driver

27 August 2007

The Ferrari Formula 1 team dominated the Turkish Grand Prix on Sunday with a one-two finish. The Italian team will not give any of its drivers and advantage though (yet) to win the F1 championship as the team has done for Michael Schumacher in the past. Team boss Jean Todt believes it wouldn't be appropriate to name a first driver in this stage of the season.

Speaking after the Turkish Grand Prix Jean Todt said: "At this moment it would be inappropriate for our drivers, who are doing such a great job, to give one or the other an advantage. There is just one point difference between the duo after twelve races.

"At the moment there is not any plan to build any kind of strategy around one of our drivers."
