Todt rules out retirement
27 August 2007Ferrari team boss Jean Todt ruled out retiring from his current job in Formula One amid speculation that former Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn was trying to return as team principal.
"I'm not at all prepared to retire," Todt told reporters after the Turkish Grand Prix. "I'm still feeling very motivated with the same anxiousness before each race, the same happiness when we're successful and the same unhappiness when we're not."
"I hope I can do this for a few more years at least," added 61-year-old Todt. "When you see Bernie Ecclestone, who is 15 years older but he is still just as motivated and for me it's the same thing. I'm not thinking at all about stopping."
Todt went on to confirm that converstions had been held with Ross Brawn about his possible return and insisted that at this time there was no firm deal in place.
