Ecclestone and Briatore agree football deal
30 August 2007Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has joined Renault F1 team boss Flavio Briatore in a take over deal. The duo agreed a deal to buy a majority stake in the British 'League Championship' club QPR according to the BBC. Major QPR shareholder Antonio Caliendo and his backers have agreed to sell their shares in the British club.

The takeover was led by Flavio Briatore, who heads a group which had been talking over a plan to inject new funds to secure the club finances and future in the British football competition.
