The BMW Sauber Formula 1 team will travel at the end of the month to the Japanese Grand Prix without the team's test and reserve driver Timo Glock. Glock received permission from the team to stay in Europe to run in the GP2-series final race at Valencia.
Glock is currently leading the GP2 championship with 66 points. The 25-year-old German won the Turkish Grand Prix last weekend and is two points ahead of Lucas di Grassi.
