According to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) they are well on course to stage an Indian Formula One Grand Prix after an inspection of possible sites around New Delhi. F1 track designer Hermann Tilke (pictured above) started his two-day visit of the venues this week and will provide his feedback to F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone.
"He has gone around and we have shown him a few places," IOA president Suresh Kalmadi told Reuters. "He will go back and give his views to Bernie. We are happy with the progress. We are on track."
The IOA are hoping to play host to Formula 1 as early as 2009.
