Wurz chasing more points at Monza

Wurz chasing more points at Monza

04 September 2007

With five races left on the 2007 Formula 1 calendar Alexander Wurz hopes to move up a few places in the F1 championship table. The Austrian is currently 9th but only 4 points behind on Renault driver Giancarlo Fisichella. Wurz hopes he can score a few more points this weekend at Monza to close to gap with Fisichella and enlarge the gap with his teammate Nico Rosberg.

Speaking about the upcoming race at Monza Wurz said: "We have Monza coming up this weekend, which is always a special race because of the Tifosi. I also enjoy the Italian lifestyle, so it's nice to spend a few days there. The circuit is the last remaining high speed track on the calendar and I really like driving it. It always takes a while to get used to it but once you've adapted your driving style and tuned your brain into it, it's challenging, but it's great.

"I usually have good races at Monza, so I hope that continues for the coming race weekend. I want to chase a few more points to keep ahead of my teammate and so the team can move comfortably ahead of Red Bull and Toyota."
